Obituary of Judith Maryann Finigan

Judith Maryann Finigan 70, Bridgewater, passed away May 9, 2012 in the Q E II Health Sciences Center, V.G. site. Born January 8, 1942 at Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co. NS, she was the eldest daughter of Nora M. (Hudson) and William S Thorne of Port Royal, Annapolis Co., NS. Judith was employed for many years at Lighthouse Publishing. After retiring she took up painting and met many new friends. A member of Legion Branch 24, she was a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James L. Finigan; daughter Rosemary (Chris) Stanislow, Cole Harbour; son James Alexander Finigan, Bridgewater; sister Donna (Steve) Shaw, British Columbia, granddaughter Ceilidh Stanislow, Cole Harbour. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Bruce W. Thorne, Newfoundland; grandparents Mary (Armstrong) and James T. Thorne, Granville Beach; and Annie (Clayton) and Melbourne Hudson, Parkers Cove, NS. Cremation has taken place. A graveside committal service will be held Saturday May 12, 2012, at 10:00am, in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. No flowers by request.
