Obituary of Carl Huestis Jackson
Carl Huestis Jackson, CD
86, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Saturday, December 15 2012 in the Q.E. II – Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Springhill, NB, he was a son of the late Sandy and Christina (Gallop) Jackson. He served in the RCAF from 1946 to 1979 as a Radar Technician and retired as a Master Warrant Officer. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 24, and the Kiwanis Club, Bridgewater. Surviving are his wife, Vera (Crouse); son, Tom Jackson (Chris Charlton), Halifax; several sister and brother in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Eleanor Horncastle and brother, Stuart Jackson. Visitation 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 18 in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, with a public legion tribute service at 7 p.m. Funeral service 2 p.m., Wednesday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Paul Jensen officiating with burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Conquerall Bank.
