Obituary of June Annette Joudrey

June Annette Joudrey Age 84 0f Maplewood, Lunenburg County passed away peacefully on September 21, 2012 in the Mahone Nursing Home in Mahone Bay. Formally June Tushingham, she was born on April 27, 1927 in Toronto Ontario. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Annie (Hands) Tushingham of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband Roy. June was employed by the T. Eaton Company of Toronto where she worked in various departments over a period or 25 years. She met and married Roy in Toronto before they moved to Maplewood in 1967. June was a resident of the Mahone Nursing Home for twelve years, where she enjoyed her many friends living there, the care givers, crafts, reading Agatha Christie novels, the Glee Club, weekly church services, hymn sings, regular visits by her niece June, and the many volunteers at the home. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Tushingham, Ontario, stepson Merlyn Joudrey, sister-in-law Marjorie Dexter and niece June of Nova Scotia. Special thanks to Dr. Raymond, nursing and support staff who provide outstanding care. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A public Graveside Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday 27 September, in the Parkdale Community Cemetery, Pastor Sam Jess officiating.
