Obituary of Dorothy Jean Langille

Dorothy Jean Langille 89, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Born February 18, 1923 in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Hurd and Eva (Gates) Lantz. Dorothy was an active member of the Barss Corner United Baptist Church and ladies auxiliary; member of the W.M.S. of Barss Corner and an volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society, New Germany unit. Surviving are her daughters, Jacqueline Eisener, Barss Corner; Sharill Jodrey, New Germany; sisters, Ruth Lohnes, Dartmouth; Muriel Slauenwhite, Stanburne; Rhoda (Reginald) Tupper, St. Margaret’s Bay; Audrey (Kenneth) Fram, Halifax; grandchildren, Trudy Taylor, Goffs; Duane (Kathleen) Eisener, New Germany; Lindsay (Patty Hamm), Barss Corner; Crystal (Stanley) Leary, Simpsons Corner; Royden (Tina) Eisener, Stanburne; Wesley (Nadine) Eisener, Kingston; Tanya (Stephen) Spellman, Halifax; Barb (Kelly) Conrad, Conquerall Bank; Nathan (Jenna) Eisener, Barss Corner; Aaron, Yellowknife; Roy Tufts, Barss Corner; 18 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; special nieces Valerie Lantz and Vicki Lynn Lantz and numerous other nieces and nephews and many others that knew Dorothy as Grammie. She was predeceased by husband, Ira Roy Langille; brother, Kenneth Lantz; grandson, Sheldon Eisener; sons in law, Oakley Jodrey, Eldred Eisener. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service 2 p.m., Saturday in Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner with Rev. Sam Jess officiating. Private family burial will precede the service in the Indian Brook Cemetery, Barss Corner. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Barss Corner United Baptist Church or Rosedale Home for Special Care van fund.
