Obituary of Mark Alan Milberry
Mark Alan Milberry – age 57 of Bridgewater passed away February 9, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater with his wife and family by his side after losing a courageous battle to pancreatic cancer.
Mark was a son of Dolly Milberry, Bridgewater and the late Richard “Dick” Milberry; brother, the late Eric Milberry, Truro; son-in-law of Mike and Peggy Godfrey. Mark leaves behind his wife, Debbie Milberry, Bridgewater; daughter, Lisa (Terry) Brown, Hammonds Plains; Mackenzie Brown, Papa’s pride and joy; sisters-in-law, Joanne (Kenny) Zinck; Darlene (Ross) Rhodenizer; Dawn (Trevor) Fancy; Stacey Godfrey; uncle, Brian Milberry, New Minas; aunt, Norma McEwan, Truro; 6 nephews and 4 nieces.
Mark was born in Digby on September 15, 1960. After graduating in 1978, he worked at Michelin in Bridgewater from 1979 to 2009 before retiring. He then took a position with NSLC from 2009 until he became ill. A part time position allowed him the time to do what he loved best which was enjoying things in life such as a just a simple drive, many sightseeing and shopping trips to Bangor or traveling across Canada, golfing or spending time at home barbequing with a few refreshments. Mark loved going for walks on the beach while living in Petite Riviere to enjoy time with his two dogs, Sasha and Dylan. Mark was also a member of the fire department while living in Petite. He had a very positive outlook on life and his favourite saying was “It is what it is“.
As requested, a private committal service will be held in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shaid Tree Animal Shelter.
