Dear Barbara and family :
We are so sorry to hear of Larry's passing . He was always so friendly and easy to converse with , A hard and talented worker who would do an excellent job for you , even if it was outside of the ordinary . When I asked if it would be possible to bring a huge rock down to the beach to anchor the ocean end of my seawall , he said he wouldn't be able to lift it but he thought he could carefully roll it down but cautioned that it would be tricky for if it got away from him it would go right through my house ! By positioning the excavator between the rock and the house he rolled it a foot at a time , keeping it neatly tucked between the treads of the machine . About an hour later he had it in place to his satisfaction . I have observed the rock during a storm bouncing large waves back out to sea thereby protecting the remainder of the seawall . It reminds you of Larry's personality . In remembrance we shall call it "LARRY'S ROCK" !
You are all in our hearts and prayers .
With love ,
David & Jeanne

I was saddened to hear about Larry's passing. I have known Larry for many years and worked for him while I was trucking and he was a foreman for Acadia Construction Larry was a fair , caring and honest man and I am honored to say he was my friend. I remember purchasing a Semmental Bull from Larry , one that one of his children had grown from a calf as a 4-H project. He came back to our farm some time later to see the bull in pasture with his herd of cows and Larry said to me "thank you for making ........ happy he looks like he is enjoying life" and I am sorry for not remembering the name Larry's children had given the bull but I called him"Snoopy". Whenever I talked to Larry that summer he would ask me how Snoopy was doing.I think that Larry enjoyed his life here and will also enjoy watching over his family from above, which I am sure he is doing now. RIP my friend.

To the family,
I was shocked to hear of Larry's passing. I spoke with him not that long ago in the grocery store. Seems like that was the place we crossed paths and he always stopped to chat. I have known Larry for many years going back to when his father Vic was with Acadia and my Dad, Russel, ran Nauss Bros. Heavy Equipment Div.
They were all good guys.
Keep your good memories close.
Sincere condolences,
Paul

Just heard about Larry's passing and thought I would pass along a few words to express my sincere symphony to Barbara and their family. I always remember Larry driving shiny
cars up and down Main Street in Bridgewater. Larry was a hard worker as I recall , and my mother Margaret MacLeod always found Larry's mother Freda a great competitor with curling. I also remember his father Vic, as I worked for Acadia Construction for a year after graduating from Bridgewater Commercial School. Vic was always in a great and fun mood whenever I was in his company. Always a jokester.
I understand Barbara isn't well, and I wish her the most love and affection at this time.
Your friend,
George (Skip) MacLeod

We are both shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. My Dad worked with him at Acadia and then i got to know him later on in life. We served on the Fire Dept. together and he always had a smile and quite often a joke to pass on. I soon learned he was a person who would help you in any way that he possibly could. He was an upstanding and well respected citizen of Hebbville. Barbara and his children please accept our deepest condolences and take comfort in the memories of the life you have all shared together. May God Bless you all.
