Ted, Keri, Tracy and Ryan, we are saddened at the news of Barb's passing. She bravely fought a good fight. She was the cousin closest to me in age and I grew up in UK hearing about "Don's girls" in Canada. When we emigrated those same three girls welcomed us with open arms. We did not live in close proximity, often being way across the country from each other, but I always knew you and Barb were there.
I remember being made welcome in Manibridge during our first summer in Canada and the big box of baby girl's clothing Barb sent when we had our first daughter. Then there was the parcel of frozen arctic fish you delivered to Winnipeg airport late one night as you were passing through! Was that her idea? And the Wisconsin week!
Occasionally, we were lucky enough to meet up with you both and will always remember those times. I am so glad that for the past two springs we could visit with you in Toronto and Burlington and make some more happy memories. She was a lovely lady, who I was proud to call cousin and we shall miss her dearly.

I remember Barbara with great affection from our days together on the staff of Dartmouth YM/YWCA. Nothing was too much trouble for Barbara, and our members were welcomed with a smile and a cheerful remark. When no-one else had the answer to a question, Barbara did. She was a great asset to the organisation.
I was sorry to hear about her passing from my daughter Sarah in Bridgewater. I am living in Victoria, but Sarah remembers Barbara too. Please accept my deepest sympathy Ted. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
