Hi Derek and Martin, I wish I could be at the service for your mom. She was always like a second mom to us when we visited Nova Scotia. Larry got to know her when we stayed with your mom and dad in 1980 and we still joke about getting her to try Dr. Pepper when we took her out to eat by telling her it was carbonated prune juice and therefore healthy. It was hard enough to get her to go out since she always wanted to do things for others instead of the other way around. She was our last family link to Nova Scotia but will remain a lasting link in our hearts and memories forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families, with an extra dose of love as you finish this week remembering a wonderful mom and aunt.

Marguerite was a career-long labor and delivery nurse. It was a bit serendipitous, a couple of years ago, for me to go to visit her while she was a patient at South Shore Regional and find her in the Maternity ward. I kidded her about 'her baby'. She comically played along and pretended that her 'make-believe baby' was in the nursery. Marguerite was a life companion - one who accompanied others through birthing moments. Like Jesus on the Emmaus Road, she was one who came alongside, "drew near and went with them but their eyes were kept from recognizing (her Christ-like grace and goodness)." May the significance of her living, draw near and go with us.

I want to send my condolences to both Derrick & Martin and all your loved ones. I am so sorry for your loss. Marguerite was such a wonderful person and a very loving sister to Sylvia. She was always so kind to Sylvia and myself throughout the years. We always stayed in touch whenever we could and always cherished our time we spent with both Byron & Marguerite. My heart is with you all.

All my condolences to Derrick & Martin and the whole family. Marguerite was one of the kindest people I have ever known. I have the fondest memories of when Dad, Mom and myself would travel to Bridgewater every summer to visit with Uncle Byron & Aunt Marguerite. Marguerite would always spoil me during every visit and she always seemed so close to my mother, Sylvia. They were the closest of sisters. We are thinking about you all during this difficult time and always know, your Mother will be fondly remembered and forever in our prayers.

I am so very sorry to hear that Marguerite has passed away. I saw her a couple of weeks ago when I was volunteering at Drumlin Hills and gave her a big hug and kiss and had a nice chat with her. She was always so friendly and easy to talk to. I will miss her.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I have been deeply saddened by my sister-friend's passing and will miss her forever.
Growing up as young girls we shared many experiences together; she was my very best example of kindness, thoughtfulness and support. Years have brought many changes to our lives, however, we never stopped caring and sharing life together. Another angel has joined God's Family as I am sure she was welcomed into His Kingdom and to the waiting arms of her beloved Byron.
May God bless the family in the coming days.
With love, Ollie
