Obituary of Marguerite Viola Zwicker
Zwicker, Marguerite Viola - Age 85, Bridgewater, passed away peacefully in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on Friday, April 5, 2019. Born in Middlewood on July 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Helen (Naas) Weagle.
Marguerite will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her greatest joy was being with her family and she was very proud of her boys and grandchildren. A kind and caring person, she loved gardening, cooking and being surrounded by family and friends. She trained at the Grace Maternity Hospital and enjoyed a rewarding 33 year career as a labor and delivery nurse at the Dawson Memorial Hospital. She always loved babies and was thrilled to recently spend time with her new great-grandson. The church was a very central part of life for both her and her husband, Byron. She was a very active member of the Bridgewater United Church, where she taught Sunday School when her boys were young. She took a lot of comfort from bible study groups and faithfully served as an elder, provided pastoral care visitations, and contributed to various other church committees. She also enjoyed her time in the kitchen preparing for the various church functions and always looked forward to spending time with her good friends in the UCW.
She is survived by her sons, Derek (Kim), Quispamsis, NB; Martin (Elizabeth Hines), Hamilton, ON; granddaughters, Heather, Ottawa, ON; Jennifer, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; Charlotte, Hamilton, ON; great grandson, Roman, Ottawa, ON; brother, Carl; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Idella Weagle, Alice Zwicker; brothers-in-law, Ross Parnell, Bill Alexander.
