Sorry to hear of Ediths passing. She was a wonderful lady. She always brought some of her German Christmas cookies to me each December and even shared her recipes when I asked. I will remember her with fondness each time I bake her cookies.

We are just so sorry to learn of Edith's passing. We got to know and became friends with Edith and Helmut due to our mutual involvement with the Bridgewater Photographic Society. They were both dedicated members and a joy to be with. We have many fond memories of going together on photo field trips, and Club get-togethers - some at their home.
We send you our deepest and most sincere sympathy, and caring thoughts.

So sorry to learn of Edith's passing. I have many fond memories of her--and Helmut--through our shared interest in local history and especially the DesBrisay Museum. She was charming and always enthusiastic and made a very significant contribution. A great loss to the Wolter family but to the community as well.

I first met Edith and Helmut through the Desbrisay Museum and National Exhibition Center. They were very dedicated attendees and supporters of the arts and culture community in Lunenburg County and that was very much appreciated. To the family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this sad time.

Michael and family
I just noticed that Edith had passed. I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated her long term commitment to Fort Point Museum. While I wasn’t there when she was an active member and took so much interest in the local history, I do fondly remember her continued presence at all our Potluck Speaker meetings. Always arriving with Martha Saunders.
We also very much appreciate her generous donation several years ago. Hopefully we can put the donation toward a significant project in the future.
She lived a long and adventurous life. May that be a comfort to you.
You have lost a family member and Fort Point Museum has lost a faithful member.
With sympathy

Heard about Edith's passing from our daughter Lia Clark via a phone message from Nicole and Henry Peters while we were in New Zealand last week. I personally first met Edith and Helmut when I moved to Clarenceville to marry Peter Clark, son of Marjorie and Erle Clark who were good friends and neighbours of Edith and Helmut. Edith took our wedding pictures. But my best memory of them was our family visit to Lunenburg in the early to mid 90's where we had a walking tour of East Ironbound Island. Edith, and her husband Helmut were gracious and knowledgeable hosts and we were honoured and appreciative of the time they spent with us. Our condolences to the family.

I first met Edith when she called me to appraise the stamp collection her husband had left. When I visited her for that purpose I was greeted so warmly and treated to wonderful fresh warm sticky buns and a pot of tea as she recalled much of her history and travels. She then had to introduce me to almost every shrub and flower garden around the majestic property on the banks of the Lahave River. Two more follow up visits were anything but short as she loved company and showed with much pride the house and furnishings they had made or refurnished. I am very sad that she is no longer with us but cherish the memories of our visits. Lloyd Tancock

To Mrs. Wolter's Family,
My deepest sympathy to everyone in the loss of a wonderful interesting lady.
When she was gathering pictures for the LaHave River Valley book, she came to visit me. She was so interested in her work and she even told me about their farm life in Quebec. I hope your sad days are made better by your happy memories of her in your lives.
Sincerely,
Rosemary Rafuse
