Dear Alex, We will miss seeing you come into Church with your service dog, and your
way of reading the lessons with care and insight. We’ll remember how you put together
the presentations on line for the Sunday School concerts, particularly the Christmas videos.
You have achieved so much in such a short space of time. A job well done.
Rest easy, my friend.

I attended NSCC's Screen Arts program with Alex for 2 years. He was incredibly ambitious and always dove head first into everything the challenging program had to offer. Seeing what Alex had accomplished after graduating the program really showed his zest for life and his abilities not being limited by his situation. Myself and fellow classmates are deeply saddened by his sudden leaving. He achieved great things and will be remembered by all that knew him. My deepest condolences go out to his loved ones.

Sending condolences to the family and friends of the wonderful young man I was honoured to know through the Accessibility Advisory Board. What I learned from him will stay with me always. I enjoyed every Squeaky Wheel video and also learned a lot from watching them. I loved Alex's film, which premiered at the Nova Scotia Film Festival - it will continue to influence and change people - it showcases so well his positive approach to difficult issues. I will miss him very much and will hold him in my heart as inspiration for my advocacy undertakings.

I just wanted to share my deepest of sympathies with Shelley, Brian, and the whole family.
It was an honour to get to know Alex during his work with the Town of Bridgewater over the past 15 months. He was always a bright point of light in my day, he always brought a smile to our work, and was always thoughtful, insightful, kind and caring.
I hope that seeing all these stories and memories and thoughts on what Alex gave to the world, and knowing that you raised a son who was so loved by our community, will bring you some comfort in this most difficult of times.

Dear Shelley & Brian and all of the family...
After watching Alex's latest vlog about a week ago, this news was earth-shaking. I've followed Alex and his amazing
accomplishments over the years. What an incredible young man! There are not enough adjectives to describe Alex.
Alex gives us the opportunity to look at our own lives. What have we been doing? Why do we complain? If we all could master our own universe as Alex has, we would be better people. He has taught us all a valuable lesson. There are not enough words to praise this fine young man. He leaves one speechless.
To Alex's magnificent family, there are still no words to know your pain. Just know that many people all over the country are with you in grief. Alex has made his mark on the world in such a profound way. How many people can even hope to do that?
