My sincere thoughts go out to Kathy and family. I considered David a friend. Having hit the stage with him with Trip-town Players, I was privileged to get to know he and Kathy. I was so proud of his political career and the dedication he gave to our riding and the Ontario province as a whole. A definite loss for all who knew him. Blessings. Douglas Bolger

Dear Kathy,
Sending you and your family our sincere condolences. David was such a kind man. Mom and Dad cherished your friendship, and enjoyed the trips and dinners spent with the two of you.
We know very well how difficult it is to lose someone so dear, mom having passed away just a month before David. May you find comfort in the memories that you have and the friends and family who surround you.
Sincerely,
Kate Hurtubise-Plante and the Hurtubise family

We are so saddened by David’s passing. I still chuckle remembering the time David was at our Christmas party and in his attempt to soak up the red wine that he spilled on the carpet, he used a green cocktail napkin so the carpet was now red wine and green napkin stained - very Christmassy! But a quick flip of the carpet and no one could tell!! He was such a delight to be around and I know how much he will be missed by each and every one of you. Mike and Laurie Wilson

Dear Kathy,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of David’s passing. He was an incredibly wonderful man – principled, caring, kind, giving, full of good humour and charm, and of course, quick witted.
I count myself fortunate to have been his intern and to have had the opportunity to work with him. I still remember those days at Queen’s Park and I fondly remember the 1995 campaign where you and David so warmly and generously invited me into your home and treated me like family for weeks on end. I have great memories of driving from one end of the riding to the other, knocking on countless doors and talking to constituents. Living with you and David during that campaign was a rare and exceptional experience, which I have never forgotten.
Words cannot express the unimaginable loss that you and your family are feeling. As you manage through this unbelievably difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I know you will find comfort and strength in the love of your family and friends to get you through the difficult days and weeks ahead. David will be forever in your heart.
Clarence

I wish to convey my deepest condolences to David Ramsay’s family. He was our dear colleague and friend at Queens Park. David was a superb parliamentarian and cabinet minister. As a first time cabinet minister in 2003 I respected his keen mind, patience and firm commitment to his constituents, to his team and to his ministry goals. He accomplished a great deal for the province.
David was kind, generous, smart and very funny- a complete joy to be around. We had a small “dinner club” of ministers and as a psychologist I have to say it was very much like group therapy with David as the voice of calm and experience.
David was fiercely proud of his children and grandchildren and spoke of them often. All of Queens Park knew when each of the grandkids were born. May you cherish the memory of this lovely man and may he Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Marie Bountrogianni
