Obituary of Clinton Curtis Haines
Haines, Clinton Curtis - Passed away suddenly April 8th, 2021 at his home. Born March 21, 1933 to Russell and Muriel (Tupper) Haines.
He is survived by his companion and soulmate of 18 years, Leona Harris; sister-in-law, Kathleen, and companion (Arthur Salsman); nieces, Diane (Arden) Robar, Donna (Carl) Varner; great nephews, Josh (Shannon) Robar and Hudson Varner; great nieces, Katlyne Robar, Megan Varner and Shawna Varner; great- great nephews, Collin Robar, and Curtis Robar; great -great nieces, Abby, and Noelle Harris.
He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Edmund and Stanley and sister Rosamond.
He was born and raised in Farmington, he was a kind man and hard worker, he worked in the woods for Bowater Mersey Company for a few years till he came home to work the family Farm raising pigs, beef and as well as selling cream. He was a well know farrier on the south shore. He was known to enjoy ox and horse pulls as well as variety shows and Jam sessions. He was a familiar face to many and would stop and talk to all.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 12 in Barss Corner Baptist Church, Rev. Sam Jess officiating. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the family ask that you contact niece, Diane if you are planning to attend the service. All are welcome to attend the burial following the service in Barss Corner Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clinton’s memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
