Obituary of Linda Mae Bolivar

BOLIVAR, Linda Mae – Age 62, of LaBelle N.S., passed away on January 31, 2022, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, in Bridgewater.

Linda was born in Liverpool, NS, to Bruce & Shirley Hatt (Carr) on January 10, 1960. She lived in Milton until 1974 when she moved with her family to LaBelle.  Linda remained in the Pleasantfield-Greenfield-LaBelle area most of her adult life.  Linda graduated from High School at North Queens and went to the former Lunenburg County Vocational School, in Bridgewater, taking the course in Cosmetology.  Linda loved gardening and animals. Linda spent many hours nurturing her wildflowers in her yard. She would always put caring for her animals first.

Linda is survived by her mother, Shirley Hatt, of Drumlin Hills, Bridgewater; sisters, Dianne Corkum (Kevin), LaBelle, Carol Hatt-Oickle (Richard), Middleton; nieces and nephews, Christopher Burgess (Shirann Hunt), LaBelle, Dwayne (Diane) Burgess, LaBelle, Angela (Blain) Finck, Chelsea, Timothy (Marsha) Hatt, Beaver Bank, Carrie Mansfield (Josh Frausel), Middle Cornwall, Lee (Jessica) Hatt, Beaver Bank, and Katrina Robar (Greg Buchanan), West Green Harbour; great-nieces and nephews, Ty, Kyla, Tegan, Lexi, Jacob, Jaden, Nathaniel, Emmett, Tessa, Madison, Kashton, Elliott, Greyson & Brooklyn. 

Linda is predeceased by her father, Bruce and brother, Wayne Hatt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter, Nova Scotia SPCA, or the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and EHS that were all so kind. Private family memorial service will be held at Sweeney’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, with Rev. Russel Prime officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
