We are so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Allan considered him a good friend, a great sailor and hard to beat in curling. He was a very smart man, soft spoken but well worth listening to, with a good sense of humour. Thinking of him always brings a smile. Our sincere condolences to the family. - Allan Wilwand and Wendy Rockwell

Dearest Eileen and Douglas. Sending warm thoughts to both you of you as you navigate Ken's passing. I have many fond memories of cousin Ken, especially of our family's visit to Broad Cove in 2006. I always admired my eldest cousin's energy and zest for life. He will be dearly missed.

Patricia joins me in offering Eileen and her family, our heartfelt condolences. Ken and I have been friends for so many years and have enjoyed many adventures together. Our annual cruises to see the whales in Tadoussac and up the Saguenay, during many extended Labour Day weekends, onboard FOME, provided plenty of nor'easters and other surprises from rocky bottoms to misplaced sea buoys and rip tides. Living in close quarters on a sailboat quickly shows the true nature of people; Ken was the solid rock, steady at the helm, in the galley and always the one to rely on. We served together on the Executive Committee of the Royal St. Lawrence Yacht Club where our friendship deepened. I'm losing a true friend, whose memory will endure.
Sincerely,
André Simard

Ken will be remembered as a true gentleman who loved racing sailboats among other things. He was up for adventures on Summer Images on our cruises. He was Commodore at LaHave River Yacht Club. He was a valued friend. An inspiration for those who knew him.

Dear Eileen and Douglas, so sad to hear about the passing of Ken. I hold my memories of Ken when we would be at our grandmother house together and I would watch him care for his sailed boat. Everytime I saw Ken and you Eileen I felt your warmth and affection. I know my father loved him very much.
My condolences and best wishes,
Richard Lutfy
