Obituary of James Maxwell Wile

WILE, James Maxwell - age 70 of Laconia, NS, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.  He was born in North River, Lunenburg County, NS on January 5, 1952.  He was the son of Maxwell and Eva (Acker) Wile of Wileville. He is survived by his daughters, Dawn (Scott) Feener and Jamie Wile; grandchildren, Jessalyn and Madison Feener; sister, Donna Himmelman. He was predeceased by his best friend and soulmate, Susan Levy; his parents, Maxwell, and Eva Wile; an infant sister, Yvonne Wile; stepson, Christopher Levy.

He worked for South Shore Ready Mix and then the Town of Bridgewater for 33 years until health issues forced him to retire. Jimmy was larger than life with a sense of humour and sarcasm that was only a demonstration of the big hearted and loving guy he really was. He touched many lives. He owned many antique cars and trucks over the years and entered some in car shows.  He enjoyed collecting just about everything.  "American Pickers" would have enjoyed his collection!

Friends and family are invited to share their memories of Jimmy during visitation on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 6-8 PM at Sweeny's Funeral Home in Bridgewater.  A service to Celebrate his Life will be held at Sweeny's on Tuesday, January 3 at 2 PM, with Rev. Ott officiating. Private family internment at Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.  Donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North River, the North River Community Centre, or to Spina Bifida. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York St., Bridgewater where on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
