Janice, Winston, Keith, Sharon & Family,
So sorry to hear of your father's passing. A fine and gentle man who led a wonderful long life. Willet & Flossie were dear and amazing friends to both my parents. Willet was especially a best buddy to my father- sharing coffee, brainstorming mechanical repairs and laughs at Lake Mush a mush.
He truly loved to give back to his community and cared for your Mom with so much love and compassion.
We 'll always have very fond memories of your dear Dad.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I remember fondly my visits with Rev. Appleton on behalf of the church and he always insisted on feeding us lunch. I am thankful that I had the pleasure of meeting both your parents. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.

Sincere sympathy to Willard's family. I met him this past October when visiting at The Pines. We had a short chat and found out that his grandmother, Elizabeth Anne (Cleversey) Haughn was a sister of my grandfather, Reuben Cleversey. I was looking forward to keeping in touch with him but God had another plan. I am so glad I got to meet a relative I didn't know I had for the past 77 years.
Cherish the memories....Marg Tweedell, Markham, Ontario.

Janice & Winston, Sharon & Keith;
I was so surprised to read of Willard's passing, although thru Peggy, we knew things have been declining in the past yrs. Willard certainly didn't look or act 98. Willard was always happy & enjoyed everything. He took such good care of Flossy for so many years ( I was always afraid he would hurt himself all the hauling & pulling he did). I only hope he want peacefully & didn't suffer too much.
It's always hard losing a parent, no matter when we know it's coming. Big hug to all of you.
My Dad loved that same program, to & I bet they never even knew that. Dad & Willard were good friends.

I first met Willard working at Fairways. Christmas parties were the best we would dance and my husband would sit with Flossie as they would have a great laugh. We often talked about him getting to 98 and doing as well as he did still making bread and meals especially herring and potatoes that he always tried to get me to have some he told me I didn't know what I was missing.
I'm so glad that I got to talk to him that morning. We always greeted each other with Hi Honey.
RIP Willard (My Honey) until we meet again.
