Obituary of Joan James

JAMES, Joan (Lewis) - Age 77, of Riverport, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at home. Born September 7, 1946, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to the late John and Charlotte (Flores) Lewis.

Joan will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Terry; daughter, Rachel James, son-in-law Tim Salzman; and grandchildren Jack, Henry, and Lucy all of Bayport.

Joan was a school teacher for 29 years, in New Brunswick, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.  In Lunenburg County, she taught at Bridgewater High, Parkview Education Centre, and Forest Heights Community School.

The family will celebrate her life privately. No flowers please; donations may be made to the VON - Lunenburg County branch, the QEII Foundation/Rehabilitation, or the South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society.
