Our deepest sympathy to Evelyn’s family and brother. I didn’t know Evelyn that well until we moved to Salmon Cove in 2004. It was always nice to talk to her because we were cousins, her Mom and my grandmother were sisters. I did get to meet her daughters a few years ago while they were visiting Salmon Cove and it was nice to meet you all. We were fortunate to meet Evelyn when she came to visit her daughter Lori in Champaign Illinois. We fell in love with her the minute we met her. She joined us for dinners and little road trips that we took quite a few times. Our condo community was so saddened to hear of her passing but know she is now at peace.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Evelyn was a sweet, kind lady. I met her when Guy was at Hillside Pines. The three of us would talk about days in The Salvation Army. She asked me to do Guy's service and whenever we have met since she would bless me with a huge smile and a hug. May your memories of her bless each of you.

To the family of the late Evelyn Harnett
I was saddened when Harvey telephoned to tell me that Evelyn had passed away. Although I had known that Evelyn was not well and in the hospital, I was still shocked when i received the sad news.
My friendship with Evelyn goes back a long time. As children our parents were very close friends and we often played together.
When Evelyn and her husband, Guy, returned to Salmon Cove from Goose Bay they built their home near our home and our strong friendship grew closer. Evelyn and I had a lot in common like knitting for NONIA and we often visited each other to talk.
When Evelyn moved to Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, we still remained close friends and always spoken on the telephone; we telephoned each other 3 or more times a week talking about what we were doing. I will certainly miss our phone calls.

Sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. Sincere condolences to you all. She was a lovely person. There are many memories of growing up on Parsons’s Hill. I had many visits with her after she moved back to Salmon Cove. Cherish your memories!

I wish to send my sincere sympathy to all of Evelyn's family. She was a faithful member of our Tuesday and Wednesday morning Coffee and Conversation group at church. She might have been the oldest member of the group but her wit and good humour were appreciated by us all. Her nimble fingers and her quilting and knitting skills put most of the younger members to shame. It was so sad to see her decline these past few months. We always asked "how is Evelyn doing" when we met. She had a long and productive life with such a good attitude toward life. Rest In Peace dear Evelyn. You have run the good race and will be welcomed into God's Heavenly Kingdom.

I fondly remember stories you shared about your mom. My take aways from those stories were that she shared her love with everyone around her and had a sparkle in her eye with a joie de vivre second to none.

I am so saddened to read this. Evelyn was the sweetest person. She was always at Hillside Pines when her husband was there and even after she use to volunteer for the teas we would always have a laugh and a nice talk. May she RIP I'm sure she is the life of the party in heaven.
