So sorry to hear of Chris' passing - he was far too young. Chris and I went to the same school in Spryfield many years ago however I did not really know him until I started working with CJ Limited back in 1994. I lived in Lunenburg for 21 years and so had many occasions to visit Chris in his store. I also looked forward to talking with Chris at CJ Managers' Meetings in Dartmouth. Chris was always positive, friendly and helpful and a valued team player. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. God bless!

Chris was such a kind man. He took a chance on me when I returned to work after a devastating loss. He hired me, helped train me , and after some time, he sat me down and shared that he knew my parents as they grew up together in Spryfield. Based on them, he figured I had good character. Just a lovely man who understood community, family and friendship. RIP Chris.

I knew Chris for many years and got to know him well when I worked at TK's in the mid-1990s. This relationship grew with each visit and purchase over the years following. There were hundreds of stories, insults and encouraging moments exchanged over decades. His commitment to the community was pure and from a place of giving to improve the region, and he was very humble about the impact he had. I really liked Chris, appreciated everything he brought to our world and community, and I will miss seeing him again. I have a definite sadness knowing we won't cross paths again, but I know how fortunate I was to have him around. I shall carry on one of his greatest traits, muttering and mumbling as I walk away from someone who just insulted me or told a whopper of a yarn - I only hope I can do it with the consistency of Chris! On behalf of Ardella and I, our deepest condolences on this tremendous loss.
